I know pitchers should focus on legs and core lifting. How bad is upper body for pitchers? What are some good upper body lifts, and what are some bad upper body lifts for pitchers?
You will get advice from strength and conditioning guys here. They will tell you that there are baseball specific programs for pitchers and all throwers alike. Look into them and stick with the program. Remember, in baseball, nobody cares if you can bench 300, and then you can't throw a baseball 70 mph.
i would not suggest finding a program, and following it blindly. There's tons of great information on this site, so sift through and see what common themes exist and what applys to you. Also, there are magazines designed to give atheletes of every sort get prepared, the best one I know of is StackMag, check them out too.
