I know that the rotational swing is the way of many major league hitters' swing, but I had bad times being consistent with it on making contact in the real game basis. I did many practice on it (tee, some short toss, drills) though.
Well I currently bought 'Lau's Law Of Hitting' and read it with the supplement of Lau Jr.'s DVD that I previously bought in january, and it's incredible. My swing looks more like Frank Thomas's right now and I'm just creaming the ball when I get into groove and I find it easier to make better contact even with wooden bat. Y'know, it's basically pulling the knob to the ball, lead arm extension, and the weight shift stuff that Lau preaches.
I find it really weird, I had hard time making consistent contact with rotational swings (studied Englishbey and Mankin), while I'm doing great with linear (straightaway) swing. Do you consider it as good thing, or do you think that I should give rotational swing one more chance? Thanks
