Quite a few players major in sports management in college. From there you can work in the front office for a professional team and, if you pursue law school as well, become a player's agent. Actually, I'm pretty sure that some successful agents didn't even go to law school. Theo Epstein is a great example of how far you can go in baseball with a business degree from an Ivy League university. Posters on this site will tell you how important it is to get good grades to keep your opportunities open for college baseball. The same is also true for creating opportunities in other areas. One more thought--with a journalism degree you could end up being the baseball beat writer or even a sports columnist for a major city newspaper. Again, grades will be key.
have a little story:
I personally know the GM of our AA tulsa drillers in town.He said that he always wanted to play baseball, but never had the oppurtunity. When he finished college,he mailed a letter to every MLB team begging for any job.He got a job as a groundscrewman for a AA team in Iowa. After working his way up years and years later,he became the GM of the AA team for the rockies(tulsa)

I think thats pretty cool
