Western Carolina

They are D1 and play in the southern conf with App State. Has been a very good program for years. Always in the top of the SC. Head Coach is Todd Raleigh, played there and asst. there under now Clemson coach Jack Leggett. Asst. Eric Filipek and Bradley Lecroy and Alan Beck. We go watch them during the season at about every home game. I personally think the coaches are great and the program is as well. I have a friend that was a redshirt up there this year after walking on and he loves it. Campus has underwent major additions and renovations, really nice. Anymore questions please feel free to ask. Academics seem to be very good, as they are an accredited school (?) and course work is challenging.

Kevin11 is right on. The program and coaching philosophy is modeled after Clemson's Head Coach, former head coach at WC.
They won against Clemson this year!

Great campus and great facility

Definatly worth a visit, and yes you will be right there. Another plus for WCU is they "rent" books to students.... SAVES ALOT!

While in the area, you may as well check out UNC-Asheville, another D1, 30-40 mins from Maggie.
