One thing that I feel took away from an otherwise very good article was the portion about Danny Almonte being "blackballed". Almonte was very talented, yes, but he was also a 22 year old 5'9" LHP who threw 87 mph. He possessed average speed in the outfield and didn't project to have much power at all. Typically, those numbers don't translate to a draft pick, let alone one in the "top ten rounds" as the coach said.
