I assume you know about the school so I will skip this.

The baseball program is an up and coming program IMO. I think Coach Ruiz has been there 3 years now. They have a beautiful new field on campus that is as good as many D1’s, except for no lights and smaller stands.

The coaching staff is well regarded in our area, and is active in recruiting the best athletes they can get given the constraints they have. I don’t think they will ever be able to field a nationally ranked program year in and year out, but if the school fits what you are looking for, I could not think of a better place to be playing competitive baseball. I am not sure what is going on with their league with Azusa Pacific moving up to DII. That would be something to ask about.
I have a nephew that is a professor there. He and his wife love it- what's not to love about living in Montecito?

Coach Ruiz was my sons coach @ the Stanford camp years ago. He seems like a great person and is making strides in improving team. Lot of upside but talking to students there it is very religious. If this fits your sons beliefs than it would be a great fit. My impression from a niece that graduated from there is that religion comes 1st in every aspect of campus life.

Again, if this fits your son's lifestyle than it would be a great place to get an education and play.
