Had to laugh last night watching Jamie Moyer soft toss his way through 6 effect innings for the Phils last night. I like Moyer, not just b/c he is a local guy - he is a professional who makes the most of his tools.

I saw him hit 84 once, 83 several times, yet threw 10, 11, 9, and 16 thru 4 no-hit innings.

There is a kid at his HS alma mater, Souderton, PA who was throwing low 90 against us LAST year as a soph, mid-90s this year as a junior. Wonder what his upside is, if Jamie can be still doing it at 43 - pretty soon he'll be throwing his age!!

I know that's a goal for golfers, not so sure about pitchers.
