Talk about a roller coaster...conference doubleheader yesterday...
We win the 1st game 27-3. Had 23 hits, including 5 HR's. Our #3 hitter goes 4-5 with 3 HR's (one grand slam) and 10 RBI's.
2nd game starts out just fine. Up 5-1 in the 5th. Suddenly, the other team starts pounding the ball. Scored 14 runs in about 2 1/3 innings. Score remains 15-5 them until the ninth inning, when we come out with 9 consecutive hits and put up 8 runs. Then, with two on and two out, our kid hits a line drive into right centerfield and the RF makes a running outstretched catch to put it away.
Two games:
W- 27-3
L- 15-13
I pitched the day before and sat on the bench the whole game, and I had to take a nap when we got on the bus home just because it was such a tiring game.
Sure is funny how baseball can do that to you. I don't know of any other sport where you can love it and hate it at the same time.
