What are the best methods of spreading words about try-outs?

Perhaps one of the specific forums here on the HSBBW would be appropriate...depending on the details.

I see from your recent posts that you have posed this question elsewhere here on the HSBBW...that's the right approach.

Well, Sandles, I'm far from an expert on the subject. I would suggest local message boards or message boards that are where you're hoping to obtain players from. I know when my son was in HS, I often read things that were more locally based and often you would see postings about teams and tryouts.

I would think it could be beneficial to contact HS coaches too if that's the age group you're looking for. I realize that in some areas, HS coaches are more "stingy" in wanting to have their kids play with a HS team, so probably a good idea to consider those dynamics.

Again, I'm sure some other folks have much better ideas based on actual experience than I.

Have you tried putting up notices at those baseball facilities that will allow you to post? I see that technique used alot...can't vouch for the success though.

Perhaps Holden will let you post on his flying facility.

I've tried the baseball facilities. They're helpful.
