Johnny;

You maybe interested in the SSK wood bats.
We have used this bat in our Goodwill Series for 23 years. Please read the recent article in the SF Chronicle. Omar is using the SSK glove.

Box for bats:

Representatives of the Japanese bat company SSK brought a present for Barry Bonds, an unusual portable humidor in which to store his maple SSK bats.
Rob Williams, a Santa Rosa-based representative for the firm, said he believes Mariners center fielder Ichiro Suzuki and catcher Kenji Johjima, who use Mizuno bats, are the only other major-leaguers to have the humidors, which the bat companies provide only for special clients.
If bats become too moist the contact with the ball will not be as crisp. Even San Francisco fog can make bats mushier.
"Barry is very aware of the moisture content of his bats," Williams said. "He heard that Ichiro has one of these (humidors) and he said, 'I've got to have one.' "
Omar Vizquel will receive his 11th Gold Glove in a ceremony Sunday, two days before his 40th birthday.

I think Baum Bats are the best (although I really have no exposure to other bats). I had a kid be recruited by Indian Hills Community College last year and on a visitation he saw them using the Baum Bats for BP. We bought two about half way through the season and used them for our BP. Every player uses those two bats for daily BP. They are still around and haven't came close to breaking (hope that doesn't mean my guys can't hit).

We went to a wood bat tournament three weeks ago and used the Baum Bats. They are a little expensive but they are well worth it.
