Great opening game of the season so far between two great franchises, both teams (fans) are spoiled Big Grin. The Fenway Crowd looks like they enjoyed Neil Diamond singing Sweet Caroline (although Neil is a little late with the saying on his coat...Keep the Dodgers in Brooklyn!). And Steven Tyler with God Bless America in the 7th was pretty cool. Unfortunately I didn't see who sang the National Anthem. We'll see if Papelbon can hold on to this lead!?
Did you see the couple of young kids who handed Pedro baseballs to sign?--He took them signed them and asked a young female escort with him to return the signed balls to the kids---great stuff on the part of a real pro

What was I watching?---RedSox on NESN,ESPN blacked out here as both NESN and YES networks had the game on, adn UCONN Ladies on ESPN3 and ESPN TV-- best of both worlds and both the Red Sox and the UCONN ladies won--called for some extra PEEPS in victory celebration

One of the great (modern) traditions in baseball...Sweet Caroline at Fenway! (I have a 10-year old daughter named Caroline who enjoys this to no end).

If you've never been there...make sure you stay in your seat for the 8th inning to experience this. Wink
JB,

My family and I visited the East Coast in 2001. We went to Cooperstown (I was in heaven!), watched a Yankee/Ranger game (A-Rod was still with Texas, and was having a quarrel w/Jeter?). Later, we spent an entire day in the Boston area, did the Fenway Park Tour and loved it! Unfortunately I didn't get to watch a game that evening, as there was some give and take with my wife...We had to visit Salem for a few hours, and later we spent some time at Mystic Seaport. A Little Give & Take, I guess? Wink

I have season tickets to the Chargers, and Sweet Caroline is now played during football games too! Who knew that The Jazz Singer would be so popular at sporting events?
