Son got his glove back today after being shut down for eight weeks. He has a long list of resolutions and goals for the season.

1. Get his FB from 90 to 93 to 95

2. Increase strike outs from 65 last year

3. Get to state tournamnet

My goals are not to cry at all of his games as his high school career winds up, and to not embarrass him in front of his college coaches.

What resolutions do you, and your players, have for the year?

I have to have my right hip and right knee replaced.  I chicken out last year when a fellow coach had his knee replaced and it didn't go well.  In fact, for the longest time, he fought this infection and they thought they might have to remove his leg.  He had to retire early.  I have one more year to make it after this year and so, I have to endure this spring in pain and then have the surgery in the summer.

I’ve never made resolutions. Change occurs when you decide to be disciplined enough to make it happen. If doesn’t happen because numbers change on a calendar.

January will have the largest gym membership increase and participation. By March 90% of those new members will be paying for a gym membership they don’t use.

My resolution is to break a bad habit I picked up the past year.  I know the "trigger", so if I try a day at a time for 60+ days I have a chance to turn the bad habit into a good habit.

Besides that, I hope to listen more so that I can control myself around a college sophomore who seems to have found his voice.

Play more golf.   I've been a beginner for 30+ years and I only play but 4-6 rounds a year mostly over business or my annual trip to Florida with my college buddies.  I shoot around 100 but I know I could easily shave 10-15 strokes off my game with a little time, common sense and effort.   I really like the game.   This is the year!

You mean common sense as in don't try to hit it 350 every time when you know that you'd be much better off taking an easy swing and putting it 260 right down the middle?     What fun would that be.....grip it and rip it lol

Try miniature golf. You can probably knock fifty strokes of your score.

Focus on the short game.  You'll develop feel, and understand the key part of the swing...

During one round I can shave 6 strokes off your game....
