I like what the author says in his intro.

I would have to see how the exercises are performed...Descriptions are very tough w/o pictures and video footage.

But rep range is certainly too high. You want to perform dynamic, explosive movements at close to 100% intensity. You can only do that for 2-4 consecutive times before your celing has dropped to 90%, 80%, 70% and so on and so fourth. Certainly you cannot keep up that intensity for 20 reps.

Now I'm not sayin gyou should use a heavier medicine ball when going lower in reps. But if you are training to increase bat speed for 1 swing (as there is plenty of time between swings to recover) why would you train that movement at high repetitions?

That would be like a 100 meter sprinter running a marathon to become a faster sprinter.
