It can mean a number of things. One is, in colleges that have no NCAA baseball team, there may be a "club" team which plays teams from other colleges (some schools have both a NCAA team and a club team.) It's usually (but not always) less intense than NCAA level ball, but still competitive. There are "club" teams in many sports, particularly ones that are not "officially" fielded by lots of colleges (like rugby, wrestling, crew, etc.) It's sort of an intermediate step between having no team and having a "full fledged" team in a sport.

D'oh!
College Baseball clubs are basically like any other college club where kids get together with like interests and form a group to pursue those interests. Club Baseball is usually made up of guys and in some cases girls who love to play baseball but are not on the College Baseball Team. There are no baseball scholarships involved and typically no GPA or grade requirements or NCAA restrictions. The group/team gets together and play other college club teams.

In these parts, they do get scouted and last year a pitcher from CSU transfered to CSU-P to play on the DII club. I also believe another pitcher from CSU was drafted last year.

The national tournament was held in Pueblo two years ago and had some very good talent.
