Kid tries to steal home pitcher steps off rubber throws to catcher and batter swings and hits ball?

Interference on the batter. Less than 2 outs, the runner is out. If there are two outs, the batter is out.
Of course that is assuming the pitcher stepped off properly and didn't start his delivery etc.
I would also want to strangle the coach who hasn't taught his team well enough or doesn't give clear enough signals to avoid having his batter swinging a bat on a steal of home.

Yea - that just has trouble written all over it. After a bad incident a few years ago our rec league instituted a rule where if a kid swings on a steal of home both the 3rd base coach and the head coach (if different) get ejected. I guess it is a little extreme - but it does get the coach to be damn sure his batter knows what is happening and to not swing.

This ^^^^^^^^^^but so many questions lol
1) assumiing RHP, why did the kid at third leave so early that the pitcher had time to step off?? Obviously wait til first move.....
2) assuming LHP.....well, let's not even go there lol
I used to call steals of home in youth ball as a third base coach and was so paranoid that even when I knew everyone was on the same page, I'd still be screaming "Don't swing! Don't swing!" at the top of my lungs as R3 headed home. Parents used to find this hilarious.
