BBP31,
I would look like a Baseball Player at any event you go to.
It just look's better.
Are you a Pitcher, Catcher?
Is this a local showcase are a national showcase?

Go there in as good of shape as you can get yourself into.
Prepare yourself ahead of time.
And try not to be nervous, It's no big deal.
Don't try to do more then your capable of. Meaning don't throw your arm out trying to throw to hard.
Work on your 60 yard dash.

You said it was indoor's.
in a stadium, are just for pitcher's and catcher's? EH
During the game is when they look at the pitcher's and batter's.
And make note of player's in the Field.
Alway's be ready and hustle to your position.
Have your water and everything with you.
Don't look for your parent's for help!! Trust me on that one.

Your going as an OF, Do you plan on pitching at this showcase?
If so you might get away with just a bullpen, Are maybe 1 Inn.
EH
baseballplayer31,

Wear a jersey with your last name on it so when you stand out, any coach will remember your name.Look like a ballplayer from the moment you walk into the event. Most likely they will run the 60 first, so get stretched and warmed up early so you are ready and loose , while the others kids are chatting.Every other thing I have read here is all excellent advice!!
I am beginnning to be in somewhat "baseball shape".

Our football season ended a couple weeks ago. I gave my arm about a week and a half of rest.

Since, I have been throwing 3 times a week and hitting 2.

I still play basketball, and our first game is this friday.

We play on tues, fri so I am going to use the game days as rest and throw mon-wed-fri, and hit on the weekends
Right now I have been throwing for about a week and a half.....and hitting on the weekends.

I still have a month to get ready for this showcase.

Sorry, my profile is incorrect. I started all but two games last year in centerfield as a sophomore on varsity. Those two games I was the starting pitcher.

I also don't play on a high profile summer baseball team. I play on my town's 19under legion team. Unfortunately, our legion team didn't make the state tournament, and unless you do that, not many people will see you.

I just feel like it is good to attend a showcase early to #1 showcase my skills and #2 see what competition there is and how I compare.

I will also add that this showcase is only 60 dollars. It is not that expensive.
This sure shows the difficulties of trying to play three sports in high school. It makes it very hard to get into baseball shape at the start of the season.

That's why my son quit basketball. The baseball/football combo required him to give up fall baseball (and keeps him out of fall showcases) but at least it allows him to get in proper shape for the start of baseball season.

There's no easy answer, but it is VERY hard to truly get in baseball shape while playing another sport, IMO.
This is probably too late for you, but unless you are just a absolute stud of a outfielder and can show it on that day of the showcase, it is probably a waste of money.

Look at the lists of 07 kids that have signed letters of intent. Outfielders comprise a very small percentage.

Money is probably better spent a on camp at the colleges you would most like to attend and are within your skill level.
