This happened in a scrimage at a camp so no kind of ruling was made but it got me curious.

My 15u son was catching. The batter, a lefty, hit a swinging bunt out in front of his batters box. The swing was hard and to regain his balance the batter stepped in front of the plate before heading to first. The catcher fired out to get the ball and collided with the batter before he left the batters box. Both players were temporarily impeded before doing what they were attempting to do.

What would the ruling be in that scenario?

From your description both players are doing what they should running to first and fielding the ball, if this is the case play on. Or are you implying the batter was out of the box when he made contact?

No implication about the batter out of the box. Both players were doing what they went up there to do.

It was bases loaded, 2 outs, and because of the collision there was no chance to just step on home plate for the force. The batter was thrown out at first.
