seems like the media likes to publish the stories when college athletes take the wrong path. Nice to see this one get some press.

It wouldn't surprise me to see the NCAA suspend these players for accepting the $50.
..and I don't think JH is kidding. The NCAA (narcissistic collegiate arrogant administration) should be abolished.
A few years back I visited Indianapolis and walked past the NCAA Hall of Champions. When I found out the entrance fee was $5, I decided it wasn't worth it.

I made the comment in jest, but it honestly wouldn't surprise me. I really think the major conferences will collude in the next decade or so and disband from the NCAA. It would be an unbelievable overhaul that changes the landscape of college sports. Being that I played at a small school I can't say it would benefit everyone- but an overhaul such as that might be necessary to get the crooks that run the mockery of the organization out of there.
dad43- I'm not too sure what my schedule will be once the spring rolls around, but I'll be sure to let you know. If I can head out to the park at some point, I definitely will. Hope your son's shoulder is feeling better.
I applaud these young men for doing the right thing. Hopefully the NCAA sees that as well, but I'm not holding my breath on that. If not, they may have to sit out the first 30 minutes of their first game....a la Johnny Manziel!

Good for these guys and good to know there are good people out there.
If ole Johnny Football only has to sit a half for his punishment then these guys should be good to go........but then again they may not have the lawyers that Manziel had either.
