Excellent points

That is why projecting is so difficult to do. I am convinced many have had their baseball careers end prematurely when someone told them you may not be good enough TODAY. What you see today may in fact be a completely different story tomorrow.

Baseball is the most difficult game and takes years to develop. If you love the game, keep working at it. You might surprise yourself how good you are three or four years from now regardless of what someone elses opinion is today.
I personally grew 6 inches in 6 months at nearly 18 yo. It wasn't until after that spurt that I was able to put on muscle and begin to develop a mans body...started shaving at 20.

I've tried all along in coaching and in dealing with my own sons, to show and tell them that the world is not ordered as it sits today and all can and will change. Todays stars can quickly become yesterdays has beens and somewhere in your early 20's it will all come together.

It's difficult to make a youngster understand that his day will come, but when it does come, it's something to behold.
