The summer before your senior year? Summer team games, camps, showcases can all conflict.Given that for the rising senior this is the most important summer for recruitment/visibility. Should summer games be focused on the "right" tournaments or just try and get in as many games as possible? Showcases and college camps, how many?

Curious on what your thoughts are.

The key for a rising senior is exposure and more exposure but in the right venues.

How he goes about that can be up to him-- if he is playing on a strong travel team he may not need as many showcase appearances as another player who plays on a travel team which might not be as high profile.

A lot also depends on the players talent level--this can dictate to what degree he attends showcases and high profile tournaments and camps

I do not think there is one answer in general--- each case will stand on its own merit

The MOST important part of your Sr. year is your Sr. year, not the showcases. Showcases MIGHT get you on someone's radar screen. If you don't have good showcase you might still do well your Sr. year, but if you don't have a good Sr.year, check the help wanted ads for jobs.

Look @ it from a scouts perspective, are you going to look more @ a 2or 3 game showcase where you're timed, clocked, weighed etc. or when you're seen at your best & worst over the course of an entire HS season?

Therefore, pick the best 1 or at most 2 showcases & spend the rest of your offseason doing offseason stuff... lifting, perfecting your mechanics, better conditioning in order to peak in Feb./March not Oct./Nov.
