LF - Manny Ramirez, Shelley Duncan, Albert Belle... OK, anyone the Tribe tries to roll out there.

RF - I still get a chuckle every time I see the highlight of Jose Canseco taking one off the top of the head and it bounces over the fence.

CF - Greg Luzinski, since LF is occupied

2b - Steve Sax during the yip years

3b - Bobby Bonilla

OF/1b - Dave Kingman
Lonnie Smith was the ultimate adventure in LF. Dave Kingman may be worse based on style. He was a clod in the outfield. The worst 1B was Dick Stuart. His nickname was Dr Stangeglove. One writer suggested he bought his glove off a metal scrap pile. Sax and Knoblauch are top competition for 2B. Felix Mantilla of the Dick Stuart era with the Sox was another stone hands. The worst shortstop is usually someone who it wasn't their normal position. For someone it was John Valentin was weak. You normally don't see weak defensive catchers. With Piazza a walk was a double. How about Mickey Sasser. He couldn't throw the ball back to the pitcher. That would bring in dale Murphy and why he was switched from catcher to center. Bobby Bonilla was a hatchet job at third.

C - Mickey Sasser
1B - Dick Stuart
2B - Steve Sax
SS - Jon Valentin
3B - Bobby Bonilla
OF - Lonny Smith
OF - Dave Kingman
OF - Greg Luzinski
P - Dock Ellis (on acid)

Wow, that is a great post!
Sometimes very good fielders become not so good as they get older. One of the weakest shortstops these days was once an outstanding shortstop. He can still hit very well and is still a great leader and player, but it is very obvious that he is near the bottom when it comes to range. The other shortstops simply get to many balls that he doesn't get to.

I won't mention his name because he is a sure fire first ballot hall of famer and very much deserves to be. He is still real good... He just needs a new position IMO.

Some Sabermetrics freaks would argue he was never a very good defensive shortstop.
