6-5A is so tough in all sports it is hard to rank them, right now in basketabll Flower Mound is 5-0, no way anyone saw that coming. I think the same thing will happen in baseball I juast don't know which team it will be. But it is always fun to take a guess so hear goes.

1. Marcus
2. Hebron
3. Flower Mound

Coppell, Newman Smith ( Reagan Blackmon will win his games) and Lewisville tie for the fourth spot.

Shuttle,
It's just my opinion based on what I know Hebron has returning in the way of bats. They will hit the ball. But the big question (as it is with so many other teams) is will they have enough pitching to contend? If they get any kind of pitching at all, they could battle for the third or fourth playoff spot. If they don't, they won't, because it's just too hard to have to try and outslug your opponenet day in and day out. It just doesn't work that way, not when the other guys are running out quality arms against you.

Lewisville impressed me last year the way they battled and reached the playoffs in the final week, and could again this year.

You're right. . .anything can happen in baseball. Except of course, MeatsDad's prediction that Coppell will have to fight for the fourth playoff spot in 6-5A. They have a lot of talent coming back, both in the everyday lineup and on the hill. MD needs to get out of the gym and get out in the fresh air of the baseball field. The smell of sweaty socks has clearly made him delusional.
5-5A

1 - Keller. They will be solid in 3 aspects (pitching, hitting and defense). With Merck's pitching/hitting along with Muncy, they will be tough to beat.
2 - Southlake. They will be strong again but will need new pitchers to step up. Hitting should be strong with Lacombe, Toal and new addition, Ronnie Mitchell. Although new rotation, their pitching looked solid in the fall.
3 - Grapevine. With their pitching combination (White, Slusher and Davis), they will win their share of games. And if they get Bradly Padia in the middle of that lineup, they will put up some runs.
4 - Colleyville Heritage. Top of the lineup should be solid (Maitland, Thorpe, Kubitzka, Palmeiro). Pitching includes all returners.

Richland and Northwest could push for a playoff spot.

6-5A

1 - Coppell. Morris, Kettler, Walsh. Reason enough for No. 1 in most districts.
2 - Flower Mound. Good lineup with the addition of Durham and Wheeler.
3 - Hebron. McManneman, Payne and others make this a tough team to beat.
4 - Marcus. Every game is winnable with Pitts on the hill.

I also like Jesuit, Plano West and Allen in their districts.
