We hear all the negatives about companies from the media...rarely much positive. I hope US Air gets some good pub out of this. They deserve credit for good hires and training of attendants as well as pilots. They got everyone out of that plane, unhurt, in 90 seconds. Impressive. Congratulations US Air.

Also great work by NY EMS and the local citizens in the ferry crews that got their within minutes to assist, take on the survivors, and minimize hypothermia. The tug pilots and ferry pilots and crews did a great job in rapid fashion!

He is the man. Gotta love his decisiveness in doing what he did with an airport in sight. He knew his plane, his situation, made the decision when he needed to and executed. Last man off the plane too. As a passenger said..."the Tiger Woods of pilots".

Didn't he see the geese? Couldn't he have avoided them? Yes, that's sarcasm!

What a great ending to an absolutely horrifying situation. Kudo's to a great number of people!!

I do love to brag! I believe a United States Air Force Academy graduate! USAF A4 jockey and Vietnam vet!!! They are trained well.

Spoke today with Major Mike Kazlausky, former coach on Air Force Academy's baseball team, and C17 pilot with 48 sorties over Iraq... and he said to me, "shucks, what's the big deal? There wasn't any ground fire...?" He was kidding of course.

Good job, Captain!

They're all smiling over at US Airways today!

I remember these planes. After the acquisition they logo'ed the PSA planes with USAir. The irony is USAir bought PSA to gain access to the LA-SF and west coast corridor. United decided they wanted to dominated the corridor and undercut USAir until they gave up the routes. PSA was a great airline.
