I had a horrible experience at the local Ramada Inn Limited and left for the nearby Comfort Inn, which I highly recommend. I visited VT this summer for a baseball showcase event and stayed at the closest place to the baseball field--big mistake! Don't make the mistake I made--by all means, please go the extra quarter mile and head to the Comfort Inn!

This is an old post now, but I'll add a couple of things for others in the future. The two best hotels for Virginia Tech are the Christiansburg Hampton Inn and the on-campus Inn at Virginia Tech. AmeriSuites also is good. But if it is a football weekend, forget it and stay in Roanoke or Salem. Everything is sold out eight months or more in advance. I would stay away from both of the hotels mentioned in the previous post.
