This happen a few years ago, a pitcher attended Team One Nationals and Area Code Games trials did not throw well at either. Many colleges wrote him off. Did not make the Area Code Team.

Instead of doubting his abilities he worked harder on improving his abilities and his MPH increased his senior year. Was drafted , later turned pro.

Current status: in the Major Leagues

I realize you can get drafted but not turn "pro" until you sign. Smile I didn't know what he meant by "later".

I think FBM understood! Wink

Tomorrow, in STL, my player becomes a professional! Cool
It sure is fun going through the experience as a parent - and as a fan of so many of your friends kids.

But the beauty of the game remains unchanged. And it always will IMO.

What are you going to do tomorrow?

High school - college - win this award - win that award - - blah blah blah.

Bottom line.

Tomorrow - you gotta hit it - and catch it and throw it - and run.

That challenge makes it really cool.

That daily challenge is what really gets the juices going IMO.

I like your style ITS.

We play host family for some minor leaguers.
Saw one make it to the MLB this year.
And some have moved on to the higher levels.
It's fun to watch there progression threw the minor's.

This is what I talk about when taking advantage of what life present's to you. The opportunity to host just happened by an add in the paper.
I thought it was a good idea to expose my HS son to the lifestyle of the minor leaguers, It's not all fun and game's.
a lot of long hour's and not much time to yourself.

Just tell your boy's to keep up the good work that got them noticed in the first place. There going to be just fine.
