The kid left SC before Hannah rolled in, stopping in Chicago to pick up the UIC sheepskin, set up a dozen camps for the fall to subsidize the income, and living at home in the Fall/Winter for the first time since 2002. It will be nice to watch the MLB playoffs and football with someone close while the fridge empties before my eyes.

If only I could get a local grocers to back a truck up with a converyor belt to the other side of my fridge......

For all the First Year Parents. I was just about to hunt up some plastique to blast my son off the couch after he had been home for a few weeks, when I got several PM's from other parents exasperated with their Returned Pros. Boys are exhausted, and thoroughly enjoying the delights of Mama taking care of them, full fridges, and regular meals. Don't worry, they will eventually wake up!
Season over Smile time to relax for couple weeks before heading out on the 22 or 24.

I always seem to have my seasons mixed up now.... After years of fall being the start of a new school year... and spring being the end.. it seems strange that son is coming home at that time others are packing up and heading off to school.

Let me tell you something, That cars still loaded after winning 2 playoff series and 2 games there one win away from a Minor League Championship.
I know they were looking forward to sometime off.
But they have contributed to the Teams success.

I don't know where the season went but my kid was home Tuesday morning, Sept 2, and I was thrilled to see him (maybe not quite a thrilled as his wife who had returned home the 1st week in August) ... They are living much closer than the past few seasons and we get to see them 3 to 4 times a week, even if only for a few minutes. It is a comfort to me as I prepare for my next health challenge.

Hope every single one of our sons has a healthy off-season, has a chance to work hard as spring training gets closer, and enjoys their time with family and loved ones.
