Recently, after my coach changed some things in my swing I've had some doubts and questions about where my hands and bat should be placed before the swing. Where should I start from? Should my hands be above or below my shoulder? If above, should the bat be tilted back towards the dugout or a more vertical angle? Before the change, my hands were about in line with my shoulder with the bat pretty vertical. My coach changed my hands above the shoulder with the bat tilted back toward the dugout. Where do you guys think the most optimal position for the hands to start from is?
Always getting better.

All of his videos are great videos in my opinion.

Pretty much exactly in line with what I teach. Somehow, I hadn't seen this guys videos before. He's good. And this was a great link to answer OP's questions.

Doesn't really matter where you start. As long as you get the bat in the correct position at launch, I wouldn't worry too much. Stance, follow-through and grip are the two most over-coached items of the swing, IMO.
