Scotty, could not agree more about the answer when my son is pitching.  I love to see him pitch well but it always makes me more nervous than when he hits (he's a two-way guy).  In general, while I love the long ball and a game where the team is hot, there is nothing like a pitcher's duel.  Just not when my son is involved - too stressful.

Both are good but my answer is neither, or maybe both.  Last night my boys and I were at AAA game where we had no particular rooting interest for either team.  As a piece of baseball entertainment it was perfect.

Both teams ran through a few pitchers; most of them pitched well -- everybody was 92-93+ with good offspeed pitches; each team had either a long ball or a triple and one double. But still plenty of K's.  It was a one-run game until the 8th. What really made the game fun to watch, especially from front-row seats @ 20' from 1B,  was the amount of leather being flashed. There were, I think, six double plays -- which you don't typically see in a pitching duel, 2 guys hosed at the plate, several truly outstanding plays in both IF and OF, and just a lot of bang-bang plays in general.  The game just had it all.

When my son pitches, I like it when he blanks another team and his team scores a lot of runs!

The best game of last years HS season was against a local rival.  Their Ace, (ended up an 11th round pick) vs. my son......I was at the JV game with my other son!!!!!  Lots of scouts to see the other prospect...turned out to be a great pitching duel...My son was fortunate to come out on top, no hit shut-out, 1-0 game.....I only got to see some highlights on the local news channel

When it is a team I have strong ties to, I like the blowout.

I like a good pitchers' duel, but not when I have a lot of skin in the game.  Then, those games just make me crazy!  They are a ton more fun when you're a dispassionate observer.  I guess I'd make an exception for the opportunity to witness something special like a no-hitter or perfect game.

No matter which team I am watching, I ALWAYS have a soft spot for the pitcher that is struggling, even those getting paid the big bucks.  Been there enough times to understand the struggle.

Because I enjoy the defensive game more than the offensive game, I will take the pitchers duel every time!

Same here.  As much as I want my team to win, I realize that there is a parent or loved one out there watching and feeling horrible about what's going on.  And I feel for the pitcher almost as much as I do for my son when he struggles.  Not quite as much, but it's not without feeling.

For me its the pitchers duel. It just seems that everything is magnified in a game like that. The routine ball to short, the drive in the alley that has to be tracked down, the shot to third that's handled cleanly. I don't know about others but that kind of game has me on the edge of my seat. You never know what play is going to be THE play.
