Recent Juco game. Starting pitcher pulled after 2 innings after giving up 2 runs. First reliever pulled after pitching an inning and giving up a hit and walk in 4th inning. New pitcher enters the game(my son)with 2 runners on, walks first batter, then gets three ground ball outs. A runner scores on one of the ground outs. score is now tied at the end of 4th. My son pitches scoreless 5th and 6th inning. In the top of 7th, his team scores a run to go ahead 4-3. A new pitcher comes in to pitch bottom of 7th. He gives up no runs. Another pitcher replaces him and pitches the 8th and 9th inning. The victory was given to the relief pitcher that pitched the bottom of the 7th and a save to the pitcher that pitched the last two innings. The way I understand 10.17, my son was the pitcher of record when his team took the lead in the top of the 7th and he should have gotten the win. Looking for people to agree with me. Don't want to say anything to coaches. Don't want to look like crazy controlling parent.
