This thread is based on the assumption baseball resumes of course. What age is your son playing and which tournaments are you looking forward to?

My son is a 14u 2023 C. As of right now he’s playing on a 16u 2022 team but a 2023 team that is really competitive has asked what his availability is. The 16u coach typically plays a mix of PG, Prospect Select, and Prospect Wire. I prefer the PG events. They seem to attract better teams and have a much better championship format. Coach originally had East Cobb on the schedule but I think he is scrapping that. So we will be left with West Palm/Jupiter, Ft. Myers, and Sanford. It may sound weird, but my favorite tournaments are always Ft. Myers. The drive across the the state is relaxing and we lose phone service for about half the drive. My son and I have some great conversations going to and from.

My son is a 2020 and we are looking forward to playing in the Connie Mack.  Although it’s been moved from Farmington, NM to Springfield, MO.  Regardless, this has been a bucket list tourney for a long time.  I do agree that Ft. Myers was always fun.  Spent more 4th of July’s there than I can remember,  even made to the finals one year.

The 15u PG World Series in Florida. My son is got an invite to the PG Freshman All American showcase which is two days later. So hopefully this may be the family vacation for the summer.

I think we were originally going to also going to the 15u WWBA in Georgia, but I think that plan has been scrapped and the PG World Series is the only out of state event. We are going to play in state PG tournaments for the summer.

Father of a 2022 C. And I’ll be honest, I’m just looking forward to him playing again. He had a number of 2020 friends that played their last game on March 12th without knowing it. I feel like I should just be really appreciative that he’ll get to step on the field again. And so I’m really looking forward to that. Not to preach at all, but I think that’s what most of us on this board are probably looking forward to most

But in the spirit of the OP, I’ll say WWBA for tourneys. Probably looking forward to some camps/showcases more so (if they occur).

Those are a couple of exciting events. Congrats on your son's invite to the AA showcase! My son knows a bunch of kids going and there is going to be some serious talent on display. I'd highly recommend the Westin hotel for the WS if your team hasn't already made reservations. It's in a nice area and only a few minutes away from the tournament facility.

Just a heads up, if your son is a position player it doesn't matter, but if he is a pitcher, PG will work with you on what day he will pitch in the AA so that you can have a plan to give him the most rest in between starts.  They are really good about that if you tell them in advance.

He is an OF/LHP.  I will definitely work with our showcase coach and the PG staff to figure out his pitching. We did this last year at the 14u National showcase. Unfortunately it kind of backfired on us because he was scheduled to the throw the last day of games at the event and it ended up raining. So he instead he throw like a 25 pitch bullpen inside.
