In 1979 Sept game at Oakland when only 3,000 attended Steve Boros a friend from the Basin League invited me to join him in the KC Royals dugout before the game. He introduce me to Whitey, Georg Brett and the Royals team. They were all very relax and "loose" for a 1st place team.

As game time approached Steve said "watch the game from the dugout". I said "can I coach 1st base?".

"The rest is history". "Always be ready to turn the corner in life"
