Who are the Top Travel 16u & 18u teams in Indiana?

The Indiana Yankees and Evansville Razorbacks are both good. We played the Indiana Bulls, Evansville Wolfepack, and the Indy Bulldogs and they were all solid teams. They were all 18u.

Do you know anything about the 16u teams?

We only played the 18u so I havent seen any of the other ones.

I am a former player o the Evansville Rivermen 16u team and we were a very solid team. We played all 18u teams and hung with them if we didn't win. We lost to the SI Bullets 6-5 and our older team is the Evansville Wolfepack.

We played you guys in the Bulls 18u tournament. I remember we didn't face your best pitcher until the very last inning. He was throwing around 90 mph's I heard, but we still hung with you guys. It was a good game!

The most noteable teams out of Indiana would be the Indiana Bulls. As of late, the Indiana Yankees have come on strong. Another team with a strong history are the Hammond Chiefs out of Northwest Indiana.

Was he a lefty or a righty. I'm pretty sure it was Patrick Keating who signed with Florida. Probably closer to 88mph. I'll have to check the book on that game now. We had two guys over 90 and one pushing it. The Bulls were very strong we beat them on a walk off single off JB Paxson. Paxson hit the longest HR I saw all summer at Butler. Over the 20 ft high net in dead center and off the road. Had to have been at least 460. He recently took a visit to John A. Logan JC and expressed possible interest in playing for us this summer.

The closer was a righty and was definately pushing 90. I could see him playing for a big name baseball school. You guys had a very solid team, but it really seemed like to me not many people in that tournament new about us. Even the Wolfepack coach thought we would get smashed by you guys, but we had the lead until the sixth inning.

It was Keating after I looked at the book. We played a few tight games during that tourney but pulled them all out. I think we beat the Wolfepack like 5 times last year so Coach Lis probably did feel that way. He's a good guy. Who are most of your guys going to play for this year? If you were a 16u you should be pretty solid. We will probably meet up again in another tourney. Good luck.

Most of the players from that team are playing on the Wolfepack, but there are a few that opted to play for their legion teams. Hopefully we will meet up again.

Is there a website for the Evansville Rivermen?

Can anyone name the player on the Indy Bulls who pushes 90 and just signed with LSU?

They had three guys go to the SEC Josh Lindbloom to Tenn, Tommy Hunter to Bama, and Lance Lynn to Ole Miss. I don't think any others went to LSU unless someone who was an 06 just verbally committed here lately.

We played with the 17Bulls. There are at least five 06 players that qualify for being in the pushing 90 category and 1 more 07 that is there. Have not heard from anyone that they that had committed.

I believe you are looking for tony seylmeyer. I played with him at the area code games and faced him a couple weekends ago. low 90's good curve and slider competitor

Indiana Mustangs top team at the 16 yr old level.

Blake Hibler--might disagree a bit with your statement that the Indiana Mustangs are Indiana's top team at the 16-yr-old level. Did you perhaps forget about the Indiana Yankees, Indy Bulldogs, Indiana Bulls, Indy Bandits, the Prospects and a few others? Mustangs are a good, solid team, but they have some competition for that title. You have a right to be proud of them, but these other teams (and several more) may have an equal claim.

The Indiana Prospects are not a team anymore. The former prospects are the Mustangs last year and this year. We beat the Bulls pretty easily last year. That Bulls team is not the most solid of the Bulls organization. The Yankees is the only team that I have not seen play out of that group. So maybe I can retract that statement. There are some other solid teams I am sure. I would put them in the running as I know they reloaded again.

My son's 18 year old team played the 18 Mustangs this past summer. They were a very good team. Seem to get along very well and be well coached. They were definately one of the better teams we saw.

No need to retract anything! Was just having some fun. I'd forgotten that the Mustangs were the former Prospects--good team. My son played with one of your pitchers on the Heat a couple of years ago--(my boy's with the Indy Bulldogs (16U this year) now, so wanted to give them some props). It's terrific to be proud of your team and you have every right to be. Not sure about last year, but a couple of years ago, the Indiana Yankees 18U was ranked 3rd in the nation behind the Midland (Ohio) team and one of the East Cobb teams. They have terrific coaches and excellent players.

This post is rather old but i thought i might add that my team played the 16U Indiana mustangs and aside from one kid who went like 8-8 in the first day of the tourney the rest of the team was rather average and we beat them so i find it hard pressed to say they are the best in indiana

the Indiana Bulls 16U, Indiana Prospects 16U Blue, & Indy Pony Express 16U are the best 16U teams in central indiana (or at least have the most pure talent) but I don't know about the north and far south regions.

Watch out for the 16u Evansville Triplets. I've heard rumors that they have the best players from Evansville.

My boy is playing for the 14U Indiana Irish. I don't know much about the 16's or 18's.
The Irish started an off season conditiong program this year that runs from Oct. to the end of Feb. and is outstanding.

Are you kidding me. We would spend the whole practice picking up french fries and potato chips. What I heard was the founder of the club is a HUGE Notre Dame fan and was it supposed to be a feeder for Cathedral and or Roncalli (Catholic schools on the east and south sides of Indy).
