PitcherA for the visitors gives up 2 runs through 5 innings, and after 5, is losing 2-1. In the top of the 6th, visitors go up 3-2. In the bottom of the 6th pitcherB comes in for the visitors and pitches the rest of the game, which ends 3-2 visitors. I guess my question is, when is A replaced and B the pitcher of record? I THINK A is the winner, because he pitched 5 full innings, and his team led before his replacement took the mound, and I THINK B gets a save. Do I think correctly?

Because pitcher A (PA) is pitching for the visiting team he get the win. The reason is that he is still the pitcher of record until his team next takes the field.

Because PA's team scores their go ahead and subsequently winning runs in their next at bat (top of 6), PA gets the benefit of the offensive production. When PB comes in, he takes the field with a lead, protects it so he gets the save.
