I use the Stan Mil Mits in fact I just picked up a new pair from Mr. Hayward last week.
JCApops, another great hitter that never used batting gloves was Mark Grace. Also everyone before about 1970 did not use them. Time goes on.

I will date myself here...but I never wore batting gloves because when I played there was only wood bats...no aluminum. I think the aluminum bat is the reason most players use gloves...to lessen the sting that seems to come with swinging them. There is 3 generations that have grown up on aluminum.
the right batting glove can be all the difference. Its up to the individual hitter. for guys w/ability its the mind-confidence thing that puts you over the top. same old story, if something negative is in your head then you will be less effective at the plate.
JCA use the stan mill and see if you ever want to go back to regular gloves
Never wore glove's , Iam with you POP's
Some of you old schoolers may like this comment: Gloves are not needed, tar up and go...I mean did Teddy Ball game every wear gloves? He is the greatest hitter ever to live and he never wore gloves!
what happened to the stan mill mitts???
can't get them anywhere!

Due to our game being rained out today, I went over to Strikes to work out with my favorite hitting instructor Steve Hayward. While I was there I picked up a new pair of Stan Mill Mitts. As posted earlier I found out that they are now called Strikes Batting Gloves. They are available at Strikes Baseball Academy. Try them and you won't ever use anything else. www.strikesbaseball.com.

Did those glove's last you through the entire season?

Huskie Power, actually I am still wearing The same ones that I used last season. The ones that I am wearing have been thru two HS seasons as well as a summer season, fall season, and all of the lessons I take with Steve Hayward. I think that the QUALITY is second to none!
STEVE HEYWARD HAS THE BEST BATTING GLOVE.AND IS A GREAT GUY TO HIT WITH OR JUST TO STOP BY STRIKES AND TALK BASEBALL WITH HIM. GO CUBS!!!
All batting glove's suck !
Jca fan; went to strikes to pick up some glove's for my son, and saw a old pic. of you and Bobby, and the people at strikes had great thing's to say about your son .They thought he should have been all-state,heard he was hurt for part of the season, and never sat out.
Tough kid like Bobby Craven wearing batting glove's??? His old man never wore them! Just kidding Bobby you were the toughest kid I saw last year. Your hand injury would have benched most kids!!!!!
I wish they made a glove that last's at least a season , they cost so much.
The stuff we used as kids lasted forever and cost nearly nothing---we did not have batting gloves-- tape, dirt and spit--try it you might just like it
I like the Franklin Digital Pro Classic Claw Gloves. Ya i know franklin isnt know for the best stuff, but i really do like them. I didnt really care for the padding. I really like the franklins because they are seemless palmed.
I like the Nike Sphere batting gloves. Even though they always wear out after 3 months of use, They still can grip the bat when my hands are dripping with sweat.
I used a mizzuno pair once, and whenever I got sweaty at all, I could not hold onto my bat because my gloves were so slippery

I would disagree with that reason because I think that wood bats sting alot more than aluminum bats.
When I compare my exo to my Louiville Slugger Wood bat, I feel a big difference with sting. My exo hardly ever stings at all, even when I hit a ball off the end.
