Number one guy I would want on my team is Schultz...but a player who is in the top 5 that I want on my team is joe dunnigan. Last year he hit around .400 with 40 walks and around 20 sb's. Only people that ever went right after joe was caleb fields, shed mossman and very few others. This yeah teams are going to have to pitch to him.

johnj...Why are they going to have to pitch to him?

If he has no one in the lineup to protect him, he'll get nothing to hit. That is what happened to him last year when they played Prov. Then he'll start pressing and going after pitches that he wouldn't go after except for the fact that he'll walk 2 times each game and that means very little with 1st base open and runners on base.

Happened quite a bit last year to someone I know very well.

last year no one was there to back him up but this year there is. Out of the 9 starting position players (including DH) 7 are back. (the 1 hitter and the 5 hitter graduated.) We have had very young teams the past 2 years and now we are more experienced. People will still walk Joe simply becuase hes joe. but this year unlike last year we will be able to make them pay. That is the factor that will determine how many walks he will get and I think we will be able to keep the walk number lower this year.

i had just had player refered to me from rock island.scout recommendation.this kid will be with me next year.the biggest thing i think kids do not realize or they are complacent is the number of kids in il. that can play.same thing that goes with the feeling of being immortal as a teen.kids need to take of their blinders and actual realize how many kids are out there and not in the chicago area
pitchdoc24, I have had the extreme pleasure of watching them play. At East Cobb I had the good fortune of coaching 3 of them for a tournament and I have coached 2 of them during 4 seasons to the tune of about 600 games. Every one of these boys is capable of playing D1 right now! OConnor has a sizable commitment from FSU which has the best record in college baseball over the last 3 years.McFolling is close wth Florida State as well. Porter will have offers from everywhere and is close with stanford. Stevens is also can't miss.Add Dennehy (Tim) to that list.
