Texas started out the game against Texas A and M looking tough, then kind of let A and M back in the game, A & M is not a tough team, this year, Nebraska might be a spoiler, but if Nebraska does win, that would allow a team to play in the National Chamionship, that would be a dead last team in the SEC.
FL vs. Ala. I think Ala. has the tougher defense by a little, Florida has a better Off. by alot. And Florida has a leader, in Tebow. I will probablly root for Alabama, but Fl. has 2 of the last 3 National Championships, and great QB, Great Def. So I will pick Florida.

Let's hope you are right. I think Nebraska will give Texas all they want and then some. But, certainly things will have to go their way for a win.

Who are you referring to by "allow a team to play for the NC that would be dead last in the SEC"? Surely not TCU or you have not seen them play. They have a strong case for being the most balanced team in the country in all 3 phases of the game. They are stout.

TR during the broadcast of that game when they play happened this is what the announcers said

"Tebow up the middle , he breaks through to the second level and now the DB has grabbed Tebows hand and placed it on his facemask in an attempt to get a penalty!"

Later in the game FSU's qb running with the ball "And now he tries to get outside and Oh my God did you see him grap the defenders facemask! Where is the penalty?"

Tebow Senior night was awesome. I am sure the other seniors on the team enjoyed Tebow Senior night as well.
The winner of Florida and Alabama game will be in the national championship game. If Texas wins against Nebraska they will be in the national championship game.

But what if Nebraska wins? Creates several possible scenarios.

1. The national championship game takes TCU because it theoretically be the next highest ranked team that is also undefeated.

2. The national championship game takes Cincy over TCU because the Big East is a major conference whereas the Mountain West is not - plus the strength of schedule favors Cincy a little over TCU.

3. They take a one loss SEC championship game loser or a one loss Texas to play in the national championship. Which leads all the "mid-major" conferences to protest by leaving the NCAAA. They set up their own organization with a playoff system for football. In 10 years it surpasses the NCAA and teams from the "major" conferences start trickling into the new organization. Finally after 20 years the NCAA disappears and is never heard from again.

Honestly I hope number 3 happens but I doubt it will.....except for the one loss SEC team or one loss Texas team getting in over TCU or Cincy.

Unfortunately with TCU not playing this week Boise State is just left out in the cold. I don't see how they would jump ahead of Cincy and TCU if both of them win this week.
I hope all of you East Coast biased (just like the rest of the sports media) people saw the Oregon State/Oregon game. WOW

Mike Riley in my opinion should be coach of the year. He consistently gets second class recruits and (no offense BUM, but who wants to go there) is always at the top end of the Pac10. He would run circles around Pete Carol if he had his athletes.

Congratulations to both programs. Will be a fun Rose Bowl to watch.

FWIW, Charleston Southern got a gate return of about 350-400K on that out of conference game, helping them with a new facility (not sure exactly what facility). There was a big article about that in the paper at the time of the game, how larger programs should help out smaller ones who do not take in that type of gate money and need it, I say kudos to all programs that take that initiative, whether it be ACC, SEC, Pac10, Big East, etc.

Boise state has to play better teams for a shot at a better bowl game, Florida doesn't, that's it in a nutshell.

Please be advised that ESPN had that game in East Coast Prime Time last nite---the East Coasters truly appreciate good sports---by the way for a guy who is not thinking football sure did an about face in this post--LOL

I know I was just pulling your leg.

Actually I don't know much about NFL football not that it matters to anyone.

There is something special about college sports however. Oregon moved up on my son's list just because how fun it looked there last night.
