I counted this morning that 13 of the last 15 posts were for tryouts and camps. Great question.

It happens when there is nothing to discuss. We'll push things to the pinned topics soon. Thanks to those that utilize the existing topics.

Doesn't it say to post in that section during the HS season?

HS season starts in January.

If the title uses the phrase "TRYOUT"....don't read it.

Just another reason why I think this once good site will unfortunately die soon.

I've seen many other sites similar attract visitors recently.

Just mainly getting big bag of nothing here lately.

This happens every year; it is not a new thing. The success of the site is up to all of you. In my opinion, the site will fade if visitors feel unwelcome......by condescending attitudes, etc. It looks like coaches/GM/whatever feel like the site will get traffic or they wouldn't be advertising their teams here. Also, this forum continues to be heavily influenced by DFW and north Texas.

Uh, exactly what the first post on this thread brought forward along with the several others that came before it.

Along with that, all posters doing so with a real name. Until then, it will remain an arena for mainly gossip with or without facts.

And last but not least, a weekly list of some sort to validate any player, team, or anything pertaining to the two. I'd start with something like best recruiting team on HSbaseballweb. Winner is the one with the most "bumps".

It's not my world -- I barely know the HS players now. Concerning posting with real names, show me a message board where that happens -- it doesn't exist. You're right about one thing....we can always use a good list!

Here's a list that was fun for me. Before you all dog-pile, I know it's just one person's opionion....and pretty much meaningless (like most lists). I didn't create it -- #118 isn't even draft eligible....and there are several other inaccuracies......but I smiled anyway.

How about cleaning up those pinned threads to make them relevant. You have some posts in there that are almost a year old. I think if they were cleaned out every once a in a while, people would see the relevance to post in them. Otherwise, it makes more sense to start your own thread.

joedaddy...it's just kind of a pain in the arse to scroll thru all the tryouts and such to find other posts. Nothing to get your briefs in a bind over...just thought that was what the pinned topics were for. That's why I posted the question...

Kinda funny Lipka and Lee are from Florida.

Zach Lee will be unhittable this season, it is his first high school season where he is not throwing 50 to 100 footballs every morning. LSU may never see him....... If you know what I mean.

Is it me or does it seem there are more teams than players out there?

Do some of you veteran posters remember the BIG TYMERS? It looks like the BIG TYMERS x 10....

I believe the main reason is why go to page 5 on a thread to get the updated topic of discussion when you can start a new thread, advertise your team, club, cause and post it like its the next best thing to sliced bread.....it just posting position.

Out in LF....since there is not too much going on the baseball right now...that's what going to happen. Example: this discussion.
