In FSU-TCU game keeps commenting about TCU's record and how it was more that just against Mountain West teams as if the MWC is an ugly step-sister. It is understood the MWC is not a power conference but there is some good baseball being played there.

He mentions how TCU went into Texas and took 2 out of 3. Only one other team also went into Austin and took 2 out of 3 from Texas this year. That was New Mexico, another MWC team.

All I know is TCU is legit and their coach has it going.

Western US colleges in general don't get as much respect as they deserve but it gets straightened out in Omaha year after year.

TCU has a shot. Hope they keep playing so well. Would be fun to see their hitting against UCLA's pitching. That would be quite a game. Might happen.
Everyone who is honest and actually watches college baseball already knows that the game is played at no higher level than it is out west. And the case can definitely be made it is played at the highest level out west. The proof is in the national championships brought home by those teams.

TCU is legit. You don't go into Austin and take a super from UT if your not legit. I don't think winning the CWS is any harder to do than beating UT in a super regional. Will they? I dont know. Can they? You bet.
The MWC has two teams in the tourament.TCU and New Mexico.

The ACC has 8. The Big 12 has 5. The Pac-10 has 8. The SEC has 8.

30 of the teams won their conferences to get in.

The other 34 teams were just too good or too popular to not include. Quite possibly the inference is that majority of conference winners would be 2 and outs leaving the 'better, more highly regarded' programs to fight it out for the championship.

TCU has presented a great danger to the current powers that be in many of our institutions of higher learning. Can you hear the shrieks if the Fat Lady is left singing the praises of
TEXAS CHRISTIAN UNIVERSITY.

I love it.

Plus he kept telling us that when the CWS pitcher throws an 88 mph fastball, if you compared it to MLB it would actually be....

Oh wait, different world series. Sorry.

Pretty good observation when you think about their non-BCS football team too. Pretty amazing all that they've accomplished with some 'big brothers' just down the road in Austin, College Station, Lubbock and even Waco.

Speaks well of the talent overall in the state of Texas.
