Does anybody own, or know someone that owns one of the new gloves or mitts in the new Wilson A2K series? They look really good, and I'm thinking about buying one when I get enough money, but would like to know if they are any better than the regular A2000 before I blow the extra money. Also, is it the regular Pro-Stock leather, or is it the kip leather?

Because it's better leather. The $179 gloves do not use the same leaher as the you will find on a pro's hand.

Just like wood bats, the best wood and leather go to MLB and also those willing to pay for it, the rest, which is still fairly decent goes on the shelf of your local sporting goods store.

Don't know about the kip, I'd stick with the steerhide.
The gloves you see on T.V ARE the same quality we can buy in the store. Guys that use "Heart of the hide" gloves are using a $169.99 glove. The only upper level leather A2000 is the Kip and the new A2K, Same on MLB players and lil Timmy at the local sandlot.
On another subject..has anyone noticed Josh Beckett using an RBK glove this year? i'm thinking it is a special makeup just for him.

Yeah I have. Well Reebok has been some what in the baseball industry with cleats and batting gloves. I'm guessing they gave a few major league players, including Josh Beckett a glove to test out. And based on their feedback, they'll sell them in stores or not.
