We have been to many tournaments in N Branford in the younger years, did some wood bat this this past year. We won't be there this summer. The tournaments are well run, but I think there are very few college coaches as a rule.

Last fall I do recall rumors that there was a UConn and I think a Fordham coach, seems to me they were there for a specific player(s) then left.

A year or so ago I recall some radar guns lined up when Tri State Arsenal played.
Sandman, if you can get down to a tournament or two this summer at DiamondNation in Flemington, NJ it will be well worth the trip for recruiting purposes. If your team can ener a 17U tournament it would be money well spent. I've been to many tournaments there and everyone has many college recruiters in attendance. Schools from the norhteast as well as many from the southeast.

I've also been to Baseball Heaven in Yaphank, NY (Long Island) in the fall and they are always very well attended by recruiters also.
Thanks fillsfan.

Do you know anything about these, as far as how well-attended they are by college coaches? (I emailed them already too):

(06/17/11) Super 17-18 Invitational
(07/01/11) 17/18u Independence Day Championship
(07/04/11) 18u AABC National Qualifier
(07/22/11) 17/18u Best Show on Turf
(08/01/11) 17/18u Blue Chip Prospects
(08/26/11) 17/18u Summer Finale

Thanks again.

Super17/18 Invitational - Extremely well attended in 2009. Start fell on the same day as the Area Code Tryouts in Allentown, PA. Same scouts at both events.
My son's team played at "Battle at the Border" (http://www.pcbattleattheborder.com/) last summer and tho it wasn't wood it was very competitive and well attended by scouts. You also may want to encourage your MA players to try out for the Bay State Games. (http://www.baystategames.org/html/bsgwww/summergames/sports/baseball.html) It too has plenty of scouts attending and is very affordable. My son's team is scheduling around it this summer so that as many as possible can tryout/play.
