That's not the scoop in FED.
wood bats have always been legal in NFHS rules...but so far no direction on banning aluminum
Fed - optional now - no change expected.
I thought I read somewhere, optional next year, then mandatoty in 2011.

It did indeed, and Mayor Bloomberg vetoed the bill and the City Council overrode his veto. Long Island Catholic Scools (CHSAA) are also wood only.
