If they allow you to use composite wood bats, the Brett Bros. mentioned above are excellent. Also try BallGloves.com they ususally have very good prices on various brands of wood bats. If you are looking for somethin specially "turned" to specs you want, try Old Hickory or TomCat. Both turn out excellent maple bats at pretty reasonable prices for that type of product.

Need a lot of low price wood bats. Summer league just went wood. Suggestions???

Low price bats will cost you more in the long run!

My youngest son was in a fall wood bat league in fall 2003, he went through 7 low cost bats.

In Spring 2004 we bought him a Brett bat (about $70) and he used it for his spring & fall leagues and it's still going strong.

As for them not going as far it may be true but if you hit it right, it will go far enough. My son hit one over the scoreboard this fall with his Brett Bat.

My older son uses the Xbat and it has lasted almost 2 years now.

So I suggest investing a little more and save yoru self amoney and hassle.
