Wooden Bats Bend!!!

And the amount of bend depends on the tree you start with!

That's his special bat he uses against curve ball pitchers.

I found the trees for that bat...
..and maple has nothing on these.

Upon closer inspection...Looking at the white mark on the end of the bat, he hit it on the very end of the bat and the bat is in the very early stages of
snap.

Darn, thought I had him figured.

Actually, wood bats do deflect some. Aluminum bats as well.

They don't bend that much.

I guess this was one of those doubleplay balls that the best player in the game often hits into.

He did ground out on this swing... You can see the deflection of the ball heading down.
