I read all this talk about rotational vs linear hitting. If you could break hitting down into its simplest form what would it be.

I N Y M A N is controversial around here but he makes it simple. Posture, Connection, Rotation.

Our kids like many of yours take everthing we say litterally. "Stay back" "Hands to the ball" can cause problem. The thing we say 90% of the time is let the ball travel and turn like H#ll.

Here is the question. WHat do you think is the simplest way to teach hitting

Agree.... flaw we have to continually correct is back elbow (and hands)flying away from the body before contact... Which I guess is what the "throw the knob to the ball" people want. We work hard to keep the back elbow in, except to adjust when fooled. I keep reading "throw the knob" and "stay inside the ball" from the same people... I'm not sure how you do both.???
