This type of information is exactly what MLB advanced scouting departments use. Its unbelievably nice to have players that are true self-evaluators and are able to have a good sense of their abilities...it allows for making adjustments a lot easier!
Vance pitched very well on Monday - in short sleeves despite below freezing temps, the coldest opening day since 1962.
We lost 4-2 to the Tigers with Verlander on the mound, but Twins fans and local media fell in love with Vance's toughness and gritty performance.
