Has anyone else had this problem?

I am an underclassman (2007 Graduate) who has got letters offering chances to go to showcases and what not. The only problem is i don't want to go and look bad and have the collage coaches not look at me. The main thing is i am not that big at all. I am 16 (turned May 25th) and i am 5 feet 10 inches, 160 pounds. I know i can run and field with most of the kids thier and hit fairly good but i don't have as good of an arm (outfielder) as i know most of the kids there will.

My question is:

Should i go to one this fall during my Junior year, or wait until my senior year and be bigger and better?

Thanks

I am 16 and about the same size. Your first showcase you will be a little nervous but once the action starts happening its a pretty cool deal.First you'll notice the guys that can really play and then you'll notice that theres a bunch that can't.You'll probably fall in the middle somewhere but it does give you hope if your willing to work at it. Showcase #2 Make sure you will grade out better in your areas that you were weak. Other wise save dad's money
The best time to be in a showcase is after finished your junior year.
There are colleges for every kind of players, you have to confront your reality, it is no way to hide you self from coaches and recruters, and then get any proposal.
5'10" at 16 years old it is not bad. If Dave Eckstein did think that way he never played college and in the big leagues.
My son has been to a couple. One he did OK. His hitting was off. And the other he did very well. He'll be going to another one or two this year.

After the first one or two, it won't seem to be so nerve racking. Don't think too much about it. Just do what you you do on the field during a game and I believe you will be fine.
first of all, look at this things as positive opportunities. You need to be seen. And don't wait to your senior year. While opportunities are still there by the senior year, many decisions get made by most coaches during the summer before a player's senior year.

Don't shy away from these chances. Go get 'em. And good luck.
