Young players have been projected based on their 'genes' in the past so this is a logical next step.

Bad habits can be noted and addressed that can apply to athletic activity in general.

Just watch out for the coaches who do not want a player engaging in other sports.

We had a 5 year old clocked at 65 mph on the MLB field, but a lack of training has limited his development to just 92 on his best days as a high school senior.
This thread is hilarious! But you guys better keep your day jobs....

And by the way, as my boys are in the 20's, my "child" now is a 7 year old lab-beagle mix, and we need a league for dogs. He tracks and catches well, shows good speed, never utters a negative word (although he does look disgusted when my wife throws the tennis ball like a girl), and focuses really well, except on fields with subterranean moles.

Actually, he never complains, goes to bed when we do, doesn't drive, stays in the yard, and has no girl friend. If he could throw a 2 seamer, we might not have had kids...
I saw the sign today,T-ball registration, ages 3-6.

Because of birthdate, mine wasn't allowed to begin until he was 6 but he understood the game from early on.

I am not too sure I am opposed to young kids being outdoors and being active and having FUN! It's when adults mess it up is when things get silly.
