I was wondering if any of you here were at East Cobb for the 17u tourney? KMart are you #15 for the Blue Jays if so I got to see some of your game against the Charlotte Heat. I was really impressed with the talent level of the players from around the country. My son played for the Dirtbags we finished in second place. Teams that really impressed me were Norcal , East Cobb 16u Astros , Hammertime Performance , New Jersey Super 17's , Striker Baseball Club from Fla and the Champions the All American Prospects. It was a great tourney and well run by PG as usual. Anyone else there? What were your impressions of the tournement , players , level of play etc. Look forward to hearing your comments.

Coach May,
I got there on Wednesday morning for 3 days to help with our club. They were very young and untested in this type enviroment but they did well. It was nice to see a good number of college recruiters there. We had 4 players attract a lot of attention (2-LHP throwing 88, a 3B/SS and an OF). It was great weather, well run and as always a good time.
Congratulations on your sons success and his teams 2nd place finish...
we went as a 16yr old team and tied the dirtbags 17&u the first game which kinda put a target on our backs...the second game we play OTC Bearcats and they threw their ace Hunter Strickland 88-92mph with a tight curveball....we went 0-4-1...we struggled but hey it was a real wake-up call to see the size of these kids and how i need to start lifting. Baseball down south is forreal..
I posted this in another forum but I wanted to thank Perfect Game for an excellent tourney @ the WWBA 17u in East Cobb last week. Coming form CA we didn't know what to expect for our 16 yr old team. What a great event with great competition. Well organized, great fields, great weather. We had a great time and plan on going back next year. We more than got our money's worth, playing 4 games on Sat. before bowing out to the All American Prospects. Thank you to the Perfect Game organization and all their staff. Have been a lurker here for a year and am sorry I couldn't have met some of the famous posters on this site-maybe next year!
Coach May,

My son's team played your son's team in pool play. He is on Baseballu and the Dirtbag's were better than us that day by a score of 2 to 1.

We also played terps25 at Georgia Tech U. That was a lot of fun also.

The one thing that stood out for me was the beauty of the Georgia ball fields. The High School fields were as nice as the fields of New Jersey's Minor League teams. Very impressive! And the East Cobb Complex was like dying and going to heaven!
We (DBAT16) also played the Dirtbags in pool play -- what an impressive team! Our dagger turned out to be the loss to NJ Super 17 (a 4-3 game). The NJ kids made a nice run during bracket play, losing the rematch with the Dirtbags.

Coach May -- congratulations on your 2nd place finish and on your class organization. Your guys set a good example for our young pups.
DBats16 like all the teams we played and I watched were very good. I did not see one single player that looked out of place. They were all very good players. The NJ Super 17's lost two games the entire week and both were to us in well played games. They were a very good team. The last game they played against us was their 4th of the day. My wife commented on them and said they were a very s****** and well coached team. They were indeed. I agree about the fields at the HS's they were outstanding complexes. East Cobb is a great place to watch baseball , I actually watched two games at once standing in the right field area of field two and watching field one at the same time. It was alot of fun.
