Usually never enter these topics, but we have never seen a scouting news scout at any of the events we hold or the events we cover. Yet we see they contact most of the players we have in our database.  They even use our photos.  Notice on the link provided above, some of the PG photos have been cropped so you don't see PG on the hat.  I can guarantee they don't have our permission.  

I hate to say anything bad about this, but something just ain't right.  I really wonder if they see any of the players they try to sell. In other words they are make money off of unknowing players and parents and not spending any money to actually scout players. They simply go by what the player or parent says or rewrite a report they see somewhere else. And sometimes the report they write sounds like a second grader wrote it.  Read the first one at the top on the right side (Murdock)

It's really kind of amazing how many people they can fool.

i can confirm Bucsfan statement... have run across this over the years and it has clearly proven to be a worthless money grab.

Wow this is embarrassingly bad.  More evidence that they are not even scouting these kids is Nick Pratto on that page link you sent.  The kid is well-known in SoCal where I live.  They still show him at Mater Dei, where he played in 2014-15.  But now he is at Huntington Beach HS.  If you go to a legitimate place like Perfect Game, Pratto's HS is accurate there.  But this service supposedly just updated their lists. 

Looks like a complete scam to me, and it is really sad that they are using high school kids as a means to do it.

2018 got one of these solicitations last year and I did some homework. This guy was nailed for scamming hockey families, got drummed out of that world and has now shown up in the baseball world. This was a few years back, but check this out: https://thescoutingnazi.wordpress.com

My kid got these emails a couple of times.  What do I care where he falls on a list for an organization no one has ever heard of.  Pass.

So, what exactly makes player ranked #1033 differentiated from #1052?

I mean, you need to have some sophisticated scouting to go that far.  Which I'm sure exists somewhere (PG from what I hear), but if what Backstop says is true about getting a HS wrong....

I wonder if this organization is trying to create the illusion they are affiliated with The Sporting News. TSN (same acronym) used to be a prestigious sports magazine.

I wondered the same thing RJM.  All my years growing up my Dad was a subscriber to Sporting News because back then it was one of the best ways to closely follow baseball including the minor leagues.  When the first email showed up, my first reaction was Cool!  Sporting News - then I looked closer.

Should I be disappointed that my kid has never, ever, heard from these guys?  He's crushed that he's not ranked in the top 1110 and I'm trying to cheer him up.

C2019....I got the same email this week.   It has to be because of playing in PG tournament (WWBA Memorial Day last year).    My son is also a 2019.   

This is a scam. We got a warning from our coach. 

I got the same thing and basically laughed it off. Especially after looking at the price.

My 2019 got the same email this week.  Still unclear how he got on the list.  We passed on joining.
