I know there are many posters here that have Xbox's ion their homes or in their childrens college dorms and apartments so I thought I would share this link where they are explaining a major recall due to the electric cords causing fires.. Also tells you where to order a replacement cord.

I would hate to see someone lose their house or more because you didnt hear about it.

Our baseball team has turned this into a bit of a team bonding thing on weekends or school holidays ... many of the players will bring their Xbox console over to one kid's house that has a LAN wired in his house and several TVs, then they'll all play Halo-2, four kids to a console in different rooms. Gotta love the mom for hosting a gaggle of boys in her house.

The addictive Xbox thing now is Halo2 online with Xbox-live. They form online 'clans' with their teammates and other friends. Hasn't been much of a problem for my eldest ... he's just too busy with school and baseball to allow himself to get too absorbed. My youngest son did get a bit too obsessed ... I had to configure my home network to only allow the Xbox to connect to the Internet for one hour a day, 8PM-9PM ... after homework, sports, chores, family dinner, etc., were completely over with. My 13year-old complained at first, until I explained it was either one hour or zero hours, he was free to choose which one.
